Kings regrouped after a loss to Chilliwack Chiefs 24 hours earlier and took to the ice in Langley on Saturday, November 2, to face the Rivermen in Langley. The visitors started strong with early first period goals six seconds apart. Before the game was four minutes old, Eron Mitchell and Alex Lofgren each scored for a 2-0 lead, which held until intermission.

Loftgren scored his second power play goal of the night midway through period two and completed a hat-trick minutes later to give the Kings a comfortable 4-0 cushion through 40 minutes. However, the game shifted completely in the third period as the home team roared back with four unanswered goals, including the tying goal with 34 seconds remaining and their goaltender on the bench in favour of an extra attacker.

Following a scoreless overtime period, Langley converted one of three shootout attempts while a trio of Powell River shooters failed to score, making the final 5-4.

Michael Mardula and Wyatt Davis recorded two assists each for the Kings. Jason Davenport, Willem Terwoord and Mark Beaudoin helped set up one goal each.

Cooper Flemming turned aside 32 shots in the loss during regulation and overtime periods. Rivermen held a 37-36 edge in shots on goal. Attendance at the BC Hockey league game was 923.
