Keaton Mastrodonato signs one year deal with Colorado Eagles

After spending his first professional season in the Dallas Stars organization, Keaton Mastrodonato has signed with an affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche.

A former Powell River Minor Hockey player will enter his second professional season with a new team. Keaton Mastrodonato signed a one-year contract with Colorado Eagles, an American Hockey League (AHL) farm team of the National Hockey League's Colorado Avalanche, for the 2024/2025 hockey season.

Mastrodonato spent the 2023/2024 campaign in the Dallas Stars' organization, splitting time between the Texas Stars (AHL) and Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. The 23-year-old forward scored 24 goals and added 18 assists in 48 games with Idaho during the regular season, and scored four times with Texas in 19 appearances.

In 10 playoff games with Idaho, Mastrodonato produced four goals and five assists in 10 games.

Before turning pro, Mastrodonato played two seasons of junior hockey with Alberni Valley Bulldogs (BC Hockey League), followed by four seasons with Canisius College Golden Griffins (National Collegiate Athletic Association, division one).
