Powell River Kings defender Calvin Beard, who was recently added to the lineup for the BC Hockey League (BCHL) all-star game, has committed to play college hockey at the United States Air Force Academy.
Beard, a 19-year-old from Southborough, Massachutsetts, has scored four goals and helped set up 14 others thus far in the 2024/2025 BCHL season for a total of 18 points in 34 games played. This is his first season in the league.
All-star weekend for the BCHL takes place January 17 and 18 Salmon Arm.
