Powell River Kings started strong, then faltered in a home loss to Cranbrook Bucks on Saturday, October 12.

Jason Davenport (unassisted) and Christian Maro (from Thomas Belzil and Brendan Giles) scored first period goals for the Kings, but the Bucks replied just before intermission to cut the lead to 2-1.

The visitors added a pair of goals in both the second and third periods en route to a 5-2 win.

Vincent Lamberti made 33 saves for the Kings, who were outshot 38-30. Attendance at Hap Parker Arena was 838.

Powell River has two midweek games coming up at the BC Hockey League (BCHL) Showcase in Abbotsford (versus Trail October 15) and Chilliwack (against Surrey October 16).
