It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Morton. A dearly loved husband, father, brother, papa, great-papa and friend to all who knew him.

Trevor was born in Surrey, England, in 1942. He arrived in Canada with his mother Helen Morton in 1944, later to be joined by his father Harold Morton. Once together in Canada, his brother Brian Morton was born, and they became a family of four.

After settling into Powell River and finishing school, he joined the Canadian Reserves in 1959 and enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He lived in many provinces throughout Canada while enlisted. He met the love of his life, Susanne Elizabeth MacVicor, in 1965, and they married shortly after on May 27, 1966, in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. They went on to have two daughters, Kimberly and Janet.

After he retired from the forces in 1974, they moved their family to Powell River, where he worked for BC Fisheries for one year and then landed himself at the paper mill from 1975 until 2000. Following that, he spent 23 lovely years enjoying his retired life with his wife and family. They travelled, camped a lot, and spent a lot of time enjoying their loved ones.

Trevor is survived by the love of his life, Susanne Morton; his two daughters Kim (Stan) and Janet (Zeke); brother Brian Morton; grandchildren Brittany (Ryan), Nick (Annastasia), Jessica (Chase) and Devin; and great-grandchildren Warren, Trevor and Annie. He was a wonderful man, and we are certain there will never be another one like him.

In lieu of flowers or donations we ask that you take a moment to hug your family and friends. Time waits for no one. This is not goodbye, it is simply see you later.

We would like to thank the nurses and Home Support staff, as well as Dr. Boronowski, for all of their compassionate care and guidance during this challenging season of life.

No service will be had at Trevor’s request.
