Sharon passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Barry and Jimmy, and sister Janice (Antle).
Sharon is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 56 years Dino, daughter Lori (Royce) Alexander, son Randy (Sandra) and beloved grandsons Ryan and Ross. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Albert Antle and sisters-in-law Grace and Vicky. Sharon also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Sharon was a big supporter and loved sports at all levels. One of her proudest moments was when she coached her U18 girls soccer team in 1987, winning the Coastal Challenge Cup in Vancouver then onto Kelowna to win the provincials. She was a proud volunteer and a longtime billet mom for the Powell River Kings.
Sharon worked until her first child arrived. She then dedicated her time to serving the community, at school, with the lunch program, coaching and taking in foster children. She later spent time at extended care volunteering and helping with bingo.
Sharon carried on the traditional Sunday family dinners, and always had room for extra guests.
The family would like to thank the medical staff and home support for their excellent care of Sharon. Thank you to all the people who showed support during this difficult time.
A celebration of life will be held in 2024.
