1951 - 2023

Lynn passed away peacefully on October 28, 2023, due to heart issues. She was predeceased by her mother Lucille, her father Bevys and brother Frank (Editha), and is survived by her husband Walter Tweedle (aka Sonny), her son Curt, her sister Laraine (Dale), foster nephew Jim and sister-in-law Editha. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews Bevys, Edith, Leanne, Deneen and Ross.

Lynn was born in Vancouver in 1951, soon after her family emigrated from India to Canada, eventually settling in Powell River. She married her high school sweetheart, Walter Tweedle, in 1971. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at Simon Fraser University and worked as a substitute teacher.

Along with her husband, she ran an oyster farm in Okeover Inlet for 17 years. She helped her parents with the caring and education of their foster son, Jim, when he was young. When her parents could no longer do so, Lynn and Walter took over the fostering of Jim, who remains a wonderful part of the family.

She was a loving person who deeply cared about all those around her and the world we live in. She loved literature and writing and was passionate about the environment and animals. She was deeply interested in politics and also had a gift for interior decorating. She believed in compassion above all else and valued the unconventional.

Lynn was beautiful inside and out, and our world seems empty without her.

“We will miss you,”and, as she would always say, “we will always love you, up to the skies, up to the stars and back down again.”

Always.
