It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicholas John Gregory. A beloved husband, father, son and friend.
Nick is survived by his wife of 38 years Julia and son Anthony. He was predeceased by his father John A Gregory (2001), daughter Camille Faye Gregory (2012) and sister Jane Elizabeth Gregory (2019).
Nick was born in Great Missenden, England, and immigrated to Canada at eight years old. He graduated high school in White Rock, BC, and continued on to the University of British Columbia, completing his degree in economics in 1986. He continued on at UBC working for the Alma Mater Society as a professional purchaser for almost 30 years.
Nick was a devoted dad, coaching soccer, leading Cubs and following Camille's competitive sports and modelling career around the world. A talented handyman, he extensively renovated every home they owned and several others for friends and family.
Always a keen boater and fisherman, Nick also enjoyed prawning when he and Julie moved to Powell River in 2015. They travelled extensively throughout their 38-year marriage to dozens of countries and never tired of exploring the Pacific Northwest by camping.
A devoted Liverpool Football Club fan, his family and friends will all cherish his memory by remembering the team anthem: “You'll Never Walk Alone.”
An open invitation is extended to his many friends at a Celebration of Life to be held April 6, 2024, from 1 to 3 pm. at the Powell River Legion #164 (6811 Alexander Street). Help us remember the life of a kind, gentle, witty and clever man.
