It is with regret that I announce the passing of Denny Mior, beloved son of Anna and Umberto Mior. Denny passed quietly after a stoic battle with cancer.
Born and raised in Powell River, Denny followed his father into the mill and made a career there before enjoying an early retirement. An avid tennis player and superfan of other sports, Denny enjoyed tracking team statistics and demonstrating his ability to pick winners in friendly competitions.
A funeral mass will be held for Denny at Powell River’s Church of the Assumption at 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 7. He will be laid to rest alongside his parents Anna and Umberto.
