Donat passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.
He will be missed by his wife of 70 years, Marie. Sadly, he was predeceased by his son Robert and one of his granddaughters.
He is survived by his children Real (Jannine), Marcelle (Warren) and Lucie (Franco), daughter-in-law Marilyn, seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Donat moved to Powell River in 1966 with his brother Armand looking for a better life for their children. He fell in love with Powell River and ended up working in the mill, where he enjoyed a long career. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with family.
