BC Ferries has cancelled two sailings between Blubber Bay (Texada Island) and Westview (Powell River) terminals on Tuesday, June 4, due to a severe weather forecast for high winds in the Strait of Georgia. A notice regarding the cancellations was posted at 6:56 am.
Cancelled sailings:
7:50 am departing Blubber Bay (Texada Island)
8:35 am departing Westview (Powell River)
UPDATE:
Due to improving weather conditions, service will resume with the 9:20 am departure from Blubber Bay, according to an update from BC Ferries at 9:15 am.
