Sunshine Coast Tourism (SCT) is waiving membership dues for 2020. That and other strategic measures that will lead to a sustainable, equitable and resilient tourism industry that serves all coastal communities, according to a media release from the non-profit association, destination marketing organization.
“The global pandemic has been extremely disruptive to the tourism economy, but it is also acting as a catalyst to evaluate and rethink our growth strategy through a new more sustainable lens,” stated SCT executive director Paul Kamon. “Extra support in the near term and broader collaboration going forward will help to propel our collective success as a tourism destination.”
Sunshine Coast Tourism is also conducting a member consultation survey to gather input for developing strategy, as well as exploring a full stakeholder partnership model.
