According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), the temperature on BC's southwest coast for the month of April, including the qathet region, is continuing to be above average.
Today, Monday, April 21, Weatherhood is forecasting a daytime temperature high of 12 degrees Celsius by 4 pm this afternoon, with a mix of sun and cloud throughout the day. There will be a steady stream of 10- to 12-kilometre winds today and a nighttime temperature of five degrees.
There is zero chance of rain today, tomorrow and until Friday. The sun will set at 8:22 pm this evening and rise on Tuesday, April 22 at 6:08 am.
The daytime temperature for tomorrow is 10 degrees and will rise to 12 degrees by the evening. On Wednesday, April 23, the daytime temperature will sit at 12 degrees all day and rise to 15 degrees by the evening. By Thursday, April 24, the temperature will rise to a balmy 18 degrees by 6 pm. For Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there will be a mix of sun and cloud and a chance of rain.
Today, the qathet region ranks number two in Weatherhood's top five ranking for the day as the coldest, warmest and windiest in the region. Bowen Island is the hottest region today, at 12.9 degrees, while Whistler is the coldest at minus one degree. Gibsons is the windiest, with 13-kilometre-an-hour gusts.
