qathet Regional District's planning committee has recommended that the regional board accept the public hearing report for Texada Island community watershed zoning bylaw 582.
The committee also recommended that the board give third reading and final adoption to the bylaw, and that it rescind Texada Island community watershed protection bylaw 237 and any and all amendments.
According to a staff report, a public hearing regarding the bylaw was held on July 11 at Texada Community Hall in Gillies Bay with 24 members of the public in attendance. The report stated that staff are confident that the proposed bylaw responds to priorities and concerns expressed by area residents throughout the public engagement process.
