At the qathet School District (qSD) board meeting on December 20, secretary-treasurer Steve Hopkins (CPA) said that qSD posted a director of information technology (IT) position in the fall of 2023 that sparked quite a bit of interest. He indicated that someone suitable was found for the position.
“Ben Grant from School District 58 (SD58 Nicola-Similkameen) has held similar positions for over 20 years,” said Hopkins.
Grant is currently listed as manager of information technology for SD58. Hopkins said Grant will be filling the qSD technology leadership position in February 2024.
Financial focus
Hopkins said he will present updated financial information at the January 2024 committee of the whole meeting.
