qathet Regional District board has provided financial assistance to nine organizations throughout the region.
At the October 29 regional board meeting, directors approved the following grants:
· $1,135 to Texada Library
· $750 to Powell River Festival of the Performing Arts
· $4,555 to Myrtle Point Golf Club
· $6,636 to Lift Community Services of qathet Society
· $1,000 to Lasqueti Ratepayers Association
· $1,500 to Lasqueti Island Nature Conservancy
· $1,000 to Lasqueti Internet Access Society
· $1,000 to Lasqueti Community Association Food Bank
· $1,000 to False Bay School parent advisory committee
