BC Ferries is encouraging those planning to travel between Comox and Powell River in late June to plan ahead.

In a media release on Friday, May 31, the company stated that heavy traffic is expected on the 9:55 am ferry leaving Little River and the 5:15 pm sailing departing from Westview Terminal due to the Pacific Region International Summer Music Academy Symphony Cruise, which takes place at Powell River Recreation Complex on Saturday, June 29.

In the release, BC Ferries suggests that customers make reservations and/or consider planning to travel on other sailings to avoid delays.
