Powell River RCMP officers reported the following for April 24 to May 1, 2024

April 27: Marine Avenue
At approximately 7:48 pm, Powell River RCMP observed a vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign in the 5500 block of Marine Avenue. Police stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, a 23-year-old male from Powell River, then conducted a record check and found that the driver was prohibited from driving under the Motor Vehicle Act. The driver was arrested and released a short time later to appear in court in August. He was also issued a violation ticket for failing to stop at a stop sign.
