April 19; Padgett Road
Powell River RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on a hydro line right of way off of Padgett Road. Police located the vehicle and observed a male and a female sleeping in the front seat of the vehicle. Officers determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen earlier that day. Both occupants were arrested for possession of property obtained by crime and released to appear in provincial court.
