For the second week in a row, there were multiple reports of thefts from vehicles that were parked in various areas around Westview. Powell River RCMP wants to remind all residents to keep their vehicle doors locked at all times when it is not in use; remove their car and house keys from the vehicle when not in use; remove all valuables from the vehicle, including wallets and purses; and keep their garage door openers in a secure place inside the locked vehicle.
Police would also like to remind all residents to keep their house doors locked and big garage doors closed, even when at home.
