Powell River RCMP reported the following for December 7 to 13, 2022.

December 14; Kennedy Road
At approximately 8:59 am, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence. The resident reported that he heard a noise at the back of the property and went out and discovered a male lurking around. When the resident questioned the male about being on the property, the male hit the resident on the head with a piece of wood. The resident was transported to qathet General Hospital by EHS and treated. The male was known to the resident and subsequently identified. A 62-year-old male was arrested for assault and released to appear in provincial court.
