Powell River RCMP reported the following for August 25 to 31, 2021.

August 26: Marine Avenue
At approximately 6:31 am, Powell River RCMP responded to a report of a theft from a residence in the 4500 block of Marine Ave. The homeowner reported that a female was going through items in their backyard, and that she had concealed an item from the deck beneath her jacket. The 23-year-old female was arrested for theft and released to appear in Powell River Provincial Court.
August 26: Willingdon Avenue
At approximately 11:39 am, Powell River RCMP received a report that an unknown female was on a residential property in the 4400 block of Willingdon Avenue overnight, and may have attempted to gain access to an outbuilding. No access to the building was gained. Video surveillance from the property was reviewed and the female suspect was identified by police. The 23-year-old female was arrested for trespass at night and released to appear in Powell River Provincial Court.
August 27: Alberni Street
At approximately 9:32 pm, Powell River RCMP responded to a report of a shoplifter at Walmart. The female suspect was in the washroom and was refusing to leave. Upon police arrival, the 29-year-old female came out of the washroom and returned a watch that she had taken. Police escorted the female from the store and she was banned from Walmart for one year.
