Powell River RCMP reported the following for September 26 to October 2, 2019.

Thefts: 22
Assaults: 6

Break and enter: 2
September 28; Strathcona Avenue, 3700 block
At approximately 12:49 am, RCMP responded to a report of an attempted break and enter at a residence. Police were able to respond quickly as they were already in the area investigating a broken window on a truck. Police attended and located two youth, who were arrested. Through the course of the investigation it was determined they were responsible for other damage to vehicles and thefts. The youth are currently facing mischief and theft charges.
September 29; Gerrard Street, 6800 block
At approximately 9:54 am, RCMP responded to a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. Sometime during the previous night, a Tikka rifle was taken from inside the vehicle. Police conducted an examination of the vehicle and located evidence inside. This matter is still under investigation.
October 1; Sutherland Avenue, 6300 block
At approximately 8:46 am, police responded to a report of a stolen bicycle. The bike, a Giant brand, is black in colour with green lettering. The bike also has a red and black seat and is fitted with a cupholder, saddle bags and a cable lock. Value of the bike is around $1,500.
