ʔaǰɛčxʷʊt – On behalf of Tla’amin Nation, season’s greetings and happy new year. This is the time of year to spend time, connect, reconnect with loved ones and help those in need.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who expresses their kindness and generosity, standing side by side with Tla’amin at our events and volunteering at our community engagements. Reflecting, I was overwhelmed with optimism and hopefulness witnessing everyone who joined Tla’amin during the Truth and Reconciliation event and those who volunteered at our General Assembly.

Tla’amin is truly grateful for the 50-plus entities who converted their business, organization and society names to recognize and include ʔayʔaǰuθəm…thank you.

It is very important for all our communities to come together in a positive way, to enjoy the beautiful place we call home.

Reconciliation means moving forward, moving towards a positive inclusive relationship. There are so many good people within the city, region and Tla’amin Nation, and with unity I feel so many things can be accomplished and many hurdles will be triumphed over.

Season’s greetings everyone and Happy New Year.

ʔəmot – thank you.
