1. October 5
8000 block Gunther Road
Police responded to a theft complaint at a residence. Sometime between September 30 and October 5 a shed was entered on the property and a Stihl power head and attachments were taken from inside. These items are valued at approximately $1,500. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to please contact Powell River RCMP or CrimeStoppers at 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).
2. October 6
7000 block Duncan Street
Police responded to a report of a break and enter at a business. Upon arrival, police located a 15-year-old male in some bushes nearby. The male was arrested and charged with break and enter. He will appear in court at a later date.
3. October 7
9000 block Highway 101
Police stopped an uninsured vehicle. After speaking to the 32-year-old driver, it was determined that he had consumed liquor. The driver provided a breath sample which registered a “fail.” He was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days under the Motor Vehicle Act.
