1. February 22
Highway 101 near Homalco Road
At 4:31 am police stopped a vehicle as the driver showed signs of impairment. Police obtained a breath sample from the 33-year-old female driver which registered over the legal limit. The female has been charged with impaired driving and will be appearing in court in May.

5500 block Maple Avenue
At 3:42 pm police responded to a theft complaint. A yellow, quarter-yard cement mixer on a trailer was taken sometime during the previous night. The cement mixer is valued at $2,000. 3. February 24
7100 block Alberni Street
At 11:54 am police responded to a shoplifting complaint at a business. Two females had left the store with approximately $350-worth of merchandise in a shopping cart. When approached by an employee, the females fled on foot. Police arrived a short time later, but were unable to locate the suspects.
