Various locations

Powell River RCMP and the BC Coroners Service were kept busy last week with the investigations of three sudden deaths. Foul play is not suspected in any of the deaths and the names are being withheld for the privacy of the families.

2. March 14

Near Tla’amin First Nation

At approximately 10:45 pm, police responded to an intoxicated male who had passed out on a bus. The bus had stopped at a bus stop near Tla’amin and the driver contacted police. When officers arrived on scene they located a 33-year-old male passed out on the bus. The male was arrested for being drunk and lodged in cells for the night to sober up.
