1. March 3

Joyce and Harvie avenues

At approximately 1 pm the driver of a brown Chevrolet Malibu lost control and collided with a guard rail and light standard. The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to Powell River General Hospital. The vehicle was towed. It appears the cause of the accident was driver error. Alcohol has been ruled out as a contributing factor.

2. Between March 3 and 4

7100 block Nootka Street

Overnight, rocks were thrown and three windows on an educational institution were smashed.

3. Between March 3 and 4

3900 block Gordon Avenue

Someone entered a vehicle, rummaged around and stole a small amount of loose change.

4. Between March 6 and 7

Ash and Marine avenues

Some loose change, CDs and a small amount of medication were taken from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the area.

5. Between March 6 and 7

4000 block Dorval Avenue

An unlocked vehicle was entered and rummaged through. A Galaxy 5 cell phone was taken along with an undisclosed amount of cash.
