1. April 1
6800 block Alberni Street
Two Honda dirt bikes were recovered. The investigation determined that the bikes had been stolen overnight from a private residence in the 4700 block of Harvie Avenue.
2. April 3
Ortona Avenue near Cranberry Street
At approximately 10:30 am a traffic stop was conducted. While speaking to the driver the officer observed signs of alcohol consumption and requested the driver provide a breath sample which resulted in a warn reading. As a result the vehicle was impounded for three days and driver’s licence was seized for three days.
3. April 4
Burnaby Street and Michigan Avenue
At approximately 9 pm a traffic stop was conducted. The driver demonstrated signs of alcohol consumption and failed two separate roadside breathalyzers. As a result the vehicle was impounded for 30 days and the driver’s licence was seized for 90 days.
4. Between March 27 and 31
4700 block Harvie Avenue
An assortment of heavy-duty tools and woodworking tools were taken from a van while parked in a residential area.
5. Between March 28 and April 6
Highway 101 near Finn Bay Road
A vehicle was damaged while parked on the shoulder of the highway. The vehicle’s rear window had been smashed and the hood of the vehicle sustained large dents.
