BC Ferries is advising that Salish Eagle sailings between Little River (Comox) and Westview (Powell River) have been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.

According to a travel advisory from BC Ferries, these include the 3:25 pm sailing departing Little River and the 5:15 pm sailing departing Powell River

According to the advisory, the safety of passengers and crew is of primary importance to BC Ferries.

“We don’t take the decision to cancel sailings lightly, as we know customers rely on us to get to their destinations,” the advisory stated. “We will resume service as soon as it is safe to do so.

“We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience experienced as a result of this cancellation.”

BC Ferries stated that its goal is to inform customers as early as possible of any changes to its scheduled sailings. For more information, go to @BC Ferries on Twitter, bcferries.com, or call 1.888.223.3779.
