According to City of Powell River, there are 35 passengers each day on average who ride the Zunga Bus. This week, those riders were out of luck due to a mechanical breakdown of the vehicle, but, as of 1pm today, the city announced, the bus will be back in service. This was the second bus to be put out of commission.
The following message was posted by the city on its Facebook page on December 3: “Please be advised that the Zunga Bus is out of service until further notice. Parts are on order, but we do not currently have an estimated date for completion of the repairs.”
