Due to a mechanical difficulty with the propulsion system on the Island Discovery vessel that provides service between Blubber Bay (Texada Island) and Westview (Powell River) terminals, some sailings on the Westview (Powell River) to Little River (Comox) route will operate on a revised schedule starting Wednesday, April 17, and through Friday, April 19, in order to provide service to the Texada residents while their vessel is under repair.

Two of the four daily Salish Orca sailings leaving Westview will depart at adjusted times of 12:15 pm and 9:30 pm and stop at Blubber Bay, increasing the regular crossing time to Little River by approximately 25 minutes to one hour and 55 minutes. Departures from Blubber Bay to Westview will be at 11:15 am and 8:30 pm.

8:05 am and 5:15 pm Salish Orca departures from Westview will run as per the regular schedule.

Anyone with a booking on one of the revised sailings will hear from BC Ferries' Customer Service Centre, who will let them know the updated departure time, according to the company.
