Airline resumes service to and from Powell River Airport

Runway had been closed for rehabilitation since April

Pacific Coastal Airlines announced the resumption of flight services at Powell River Airport (YPW) starting today, June 10. This follows the completion of a runway rehabilitation project implemented by City of Powell River.

“We are delighted to return to Powell River and continue providing reliable and efficient air travel for the community members of qathet Regional District,” stated Pacific Coastal president Quentin Smith, in a media release. “Our team is committed to ensuring this community remains connected with year-round dependable flight service to support commerce, tourism, health care and all other needs that our flight service provides.”

The airline offers daily flight options with 35-minute non-stop service between YPW and Vancouver International Airport South Terminal (YVR).
