Born in Saskatchewan, Lois Maclean's family soon moved to Gibsons, BC, where Lois lived most of her life. She became a well respected businesswoman and hairdresser as owner of the Sunnycrest Beauty Salon.
Most of the ladies in Gibsons had their hair cut, set and styled in her salon. It was a busy place where there was always an abundance of coffee (or at least that is what it said on the cup) and chatter. In the ’80s, they made their move to Powell River, which became her home until she passed.
Lois was predeceased by her daughter Donna Alexander, granddaughter Tanara Goesen and sisters Anne East, Linda McGuire and Dinah Reed. She leaves behind her spouse of 55 years Ian MacLean daughter and stepdaughters Valerie (Phillip) McNutt, Cathy Pattison, Debra (Rod Dillman) MacLean and Cindy (Paul) Petroczi, brothers Robert and Ray Coates, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to the wonderful staff of Willingdon Creek, where Lois spent her last seven years. She and her family appreciated all your efforts.
