It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Danny James Thiesen, born January 5, 1954, and raised in Powell River. He passed away at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria on September 1, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dan was predeceased by his mom and dad, Dorothy and Isaac Thiesen, and sister Evelyn Wilson. He was also predeceased by brothers-in-law Bill Powell and Chuck Boisvert.
He will be missed by all his siblings: Larry Muss, Doug, Judie Boisvert, Geri Powell, his twin brother Dennis, Julie, Doreen Bishop and Ivan, as well as many nieces and nephews and his friends.
We thank the staff at Royal Jubilee Hospital for all their hard work making Danny as comfortable as possible. We also want to thank our sisters, Judie and Julie, for all their time helping him during his battle with cancer.
