Sad to say our mom, grandmom, great-grandmom and great-great-grandmom passed away to heaven on Sunday, July 3. She had a long and vibrant life and will be missed very much.
Mom was a war bride and married dad in 1945. She was expecting to live in Courtenay, BC, on Vancouver Island, but dad got an apprenticeship as a millwright at the pulp mill in Powell River.
Mom was very smart and got a job as a secretary to the mill manager at that time, then later on she became a secretary for MacMillan Forestry. She raised three sons: Ian, Bruce and Andrew, and we know that was challenging!
Mom knew a lot of people in her 97 years, and if you knew Ann, you know she was not one to be messed with. She was strong, fair and kind.
Special thanks to Donna McKenzie and the staff at Willingdon Creek.
Rest in peace, Mom.
No service by request; a tea will be held in September. Help people in need, be kind.
