In 1965, Winston Churchill, a former prime minister of the United Kingdom, died at age 90 in London.
In 1984, the first Macintosh model from Apple Computer became available for sale. It was the first commercially successful personal computer using a graphical user interface and a mouse, and had a clock rate of 8 megahertz and 128k of RAM.
In 1999, in his final National Hockey League all-star game, Wayne Gretzky was named MVP after scoring one goal and assisting on two others. The final score was 8-6 in favour of Gretzky’s North American team over Team Europe. The game was played in Tampa, Florida.
