In 1612, Galileo recorded the first sighting of Neptune, noting it as a fixed star, not realizing it was a planet.

In 1918, Montreal Canadiens’ goaltender Georges Vezina assisted on a goal in his team’s 6-3 win over the Toronto Arenas, becoming the first National Hockey League goalie to do so.

In 1968, The Beatles' White Album reached the top of the music charts and remained at number one for nine weeks.
