Showers today, with the promise of sun through the rest of the week.

"April showers" are in the Environment Canada forecast for the morning of Wednesday, April 2 on the lower Sunshine Coast. Skies are slated to clear in the afternoon hours, and daytime high temperatures are to climb to 10 degrees C.

The mercury is forecast to dip to 3 degrees overnight under slightly cloudy skies.

Spring breezes in the 5 to 6 kilometre per hour range is what Weatherhood is calling for throughout the day.

The outlook on its website if for sunny skies and highs of 15 degrees on Thursday, April 3, nice conditions for the official ground breaking for the new Halfmoon Bay Community Hall at Connor Park.  The Sunshine Coast Regional District has invited the public to drop by between 10 and 11 a.m. to share in the excitement of the official start of that long awaited project.
