A six-year-old male orange tabby cat named Fred arrived at BC SPCA-Powell River as a stray, but according to the SPCA, he's a snuggly curious guy who loves snacking, watching birds out the window and napping in a sun ray.
"This big guy loves nothing more than to be around his favourite people catching some beauty sleep or watching out the window," stated BC SPCA-Powell River. "Fred will happily spend all day watching the birds during his alone time, and bask in the sunshine, though he does love to take breaks and bask in attention rather than the sunshine."
According to the SPCA, Fred came into the centre, which is located at 7558 Duncan Street, as a stray, so they can’t say for certain how he is with other pets.
"However, based on what we have seen here, Fred doesn’t seem too bothered and seems to be more focused on where his snuggles and snacks are," staff stated. "When Fred isn’t busy monitoring the neighbourhood squirrels and birds, he enjoys a cozy blanket, chin scratches and, of course, some yummy snacks."
Fred will also happily turn any lap into a cozy nap spot, staff mentioned in a description of the furry feline.
If Fred sounds like your kind of kitty, there is a pre-adoption questionnaire that can be filled out: spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire, or stop by BC SPCA-Powell River during opening hours (12 to 4 pm, Tuesday to Saturday).
