Every time I go to Powell River Recreation Complex, I question why the parking area has never been paved [“Powell River Community Forest grants approved after debate,” June 23].
The surface is rough gravel and anything but level. One has to continuously keep one’s eyes fixed to the ground to avoid tripping.
We’re always hearing about safety, especially for seniors, and yet nothing is done or even discussed at the city council meetings about the dangerous situation at the complex.
