Powell River volleyball team competes in Super Series

Powell River U14 Aces Volleyball Club recently competed in a Super Series tournament in Abbotsford on March 2 and 3, finishing in sixth place.

Powell River U14 Aces Volleyball Club recently competed in a Super Series tournament in Abbotsford on March 2 and 3, finishing in sixth place.

Powell River played seven games and came away with wins against Prince George (26-24, 18-25, 15-12), Burnaby (25-23, 9-25, 16-14) and Parksville (25-21, 22-25, 15-9).

The tournament included a pink shirt day focus; all teams were encouraged to wear some pink and demonstrate good sportsmanship and friendship. The team accepted the challenge and accessorized with pink, along with other teams, the referees and tournament organizers.
