Powell River U18 Kings dominated Sooke U18 Thunderbirds on Sunday, February 16, with an offensive display at Hap Parker Arena.

Nine different players found the back of the net in an 11-1 playoff route of the visitors from Vancouver Island, including Jaxon Peters and Tristan Hawkins (two each), Evan Piniewski, Noah Culos, Luca Wadsworth, Jeremy Pukesh, Chase Fontaine, Paxton Schreiber and Ben Belyea. Assists were credited to Schreiber, Wadsworth (two), Hawkins, Pukesh (two), Weston Kolba (three), Connal Miller, Beau Gagne and Evan Penner.

Powell River scored five times in the first period, twice in the middle frame, and outscored Sooke 4-1 in period three.

U18 Kings face Cowichan in the next playoff round. The first game is Saturday, February 23, at Cowichan Community Centre.
