Powell River U13 Kings come back to beat Comox; U18s shut out

Local U15 rep team also in action tonight at recreation complex

Blake Peters scored four of his team's six goals to lead Powell River U13 Kings to a win over Comox Valley at Hap Parker Arena on Saturday, September 30.

Reid Stekman and Grayden Kendrick also scored for the U13 Kings, who trailed 2-1 after the first period but led their opponents from Vancouver Island 4-3 heading into the final frame. Two third period goals sealed the 6-4 win for the home team.

Powell River's U15 rep team also faces Comox on September 30, on the rink at Powell River Recreation Complex, starting at 6 pm.

The U18 rep team from Powell River was also in action on September 30, failing to score in a 5-0 loss at Nanaimo. The U18 squad is in action again tomorrow (Sunday, October 1), this time at home versus Campbell River. Game time is 1:15 pm.

Powell River U11 Queens take on Comox this Sunday on the rink, starting at 1:30 pm. U15 Queens face Sunshine Coast Blues in Sechelt, also on October 1.
