Powell River Kings and Victoria Grizzlies squared off at the Q Centre in Victoria on Saturday, December 17, the last day prior to a league-wide holiday season break.
Karter McNarland scored the lone goal for the Kings,who trailed 1-0 after 20 minutes and 3-0 heading into the third period in the 5-1 loss.
After a 13-day break, the same two teams will meet in Victoria on Friday, December 30, to resume the 2022/2023 BC Hockey League season.
Powell River's next home game is scheduled for Friday, January 6, 2023, against Wenatchee Wild. Game time at Hap Parker Arena will be 7 pm.
