Powell River Kings fall to Cowichan in BCHL preseason game

Exhibition schedule concludes in Victoria this afternoon

Powell River Kings' forward Thomas Belzil [right, in a photo from last season] scored a pair of goals versus Cowichan Valley Capitals on September 14.

Powell River Kings continued preparing for the BC Hockey League (BCHL) regular season with an exhibition game in Duncan on Saturday, September 14. The host Cowichan Valley Capitals jumped out to an early three-goal lead and held on for an 8-5 win at Cowichan Community Centre.

Thomas Belzil and Marek Beaudoin each scored twice for the visiting Kings, who play their final preseason game in Victoria on Sunday, September 15, before returning home for the season opener against the same Victoria team on Friday, September 20.

Michael Mardula also scored in Duncan for the Kings, who were outshot 53-42.
