West Kelowna Warriors dominated the scoreboard and the shot clock on Saturday, March 15, en route to a 5-0 home win over Powell River Kings.
Vincent Lamberti stopped 44 of the 49 shots he faced, which earned the Powell River goaltender second star honours for the game despite giving up the five goals. His counterpart, Édouard Gauthier, was named third star for his 15-save shutout performance. West Kelowna’s Joey Macrina, who set up one goal, was selected as the first star.
Warriors were successful on two of five power play opportunities after scoring their first three goals at even strength. Kings, who lost the first game of the road trip the night before in Salmon Arm, had one power play in the game. Attendance at Royal LePage Place was 1,067.
