Cowichan Valley Capitals hosted Powell River Kings in an BC Hockey League (BCHL) afternoon game in front of 983 fans on Sunday, February 19, at Cowichan Community Centre in Duncan.
Karter McNarland led the way for the Kings, scoring a trio of goals in his team’s 5-2 win. The visitors also led on the shot clock by a margin of 41-32.
Adam Mendelson and Anthony Lucarelli also scored for the Kings, who rebounded from earlier weekend losses in Port Alberni and at home to Vernon.
McNarland is the team leader in points with 35 in 43 games, followed by Lucarelli (30 in 41) and Anthony Yu (29 in 43).
Powell River travels to Prince George to face the Spruce Kings on Friday, February 24, before a matchup in Chilliwack against the Chiefs the following night.
