Powell River Kings travel to the Okanagan/Shuswap area in mid-March, looking to rebound from a pair of losses on Vancouver Island last weekend. Salmon Arm Silverbacks host the Kings on Friday, March 14, followed by a game in West Kelowna versus the Warriors the next night.
Marek Beaudoin and Jackson Potulny scored in Powell River's 5-2 loss in Port Alberni on March 7. On March 8, Cowichan Valley held the Kings to one goal, Cruz Sanzano's first of the BC Hockey League (BCHL) season, in a 4-1 win.
Cowichan is fifth in the 10-team BCHL Coastal Conference, four points ahead of sixth-place Alberni. Chiiliwack is in first place. Powell River is 10th and will miss the playoffs. In the Interior Conference, Penticton leads, Salmon Arm is fourth and West Kelowna is seventh.
Kings play their final two home game of the 2024/2025 season on Friday, March 21 (7 pm), and Saturday, March 22 (5 pm) at Hap Parker Arena. Both games are versus Cowichan.
