Powell River Kings have acquired 2003-born forward Colin MacDougall from the Hamilton Kilty B’s of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.
As a rookie, the 19-year-old from Carlisle, Ontario, played in 47 games for the Kilty B’s last year tallying 20 goals and adding 26 assists. He also accumulated nine points in 16 playoff games and was named to the Golden Horseshoe Conference all-rookie team.
“I am very excited to have the opportunity to play for the Kings this season,” stated MacDougall. “I couldn’t be happier to be a part of this team and I’m looking forward to being in Powell River and having a great year.”
MacDougall joins new recruits Cameron Symons, Jack Blanchett and Ryder Ringor as players general manager Chad van Diemen has brought in who have plenty of junior experience outside the BC Hockey League.
“Colin is coming off a great rookie season in Hamilton," stated van Diemen. “We feel he can come out west and continue to find success. He’s a good teammate and his coaches had a lot of positive things to say about him on and off the ice.”
